Nathan has attended school six days in the last five weeks. Christmas holiday/vacation consumed 2 1/2 weeks of that break, but the weather has been the main contributor to his lack of education lately. Last week one day of school, this week so far...one day. Yesterday when Grandpa came down to breakfast he asked if Nathan had school because there was a cloud in the sky! It's about that bad!
In the last several weeks we did get significant snow. And cold temps. This somehow frightens the good people in Missouri. When school is not in session due to the cold and snow, the kids have a hay day playing outside....in the cold and snow!

That does look like a lot of snow. We've been in the get 2" of snow every night pattern for awhile and now it's just plain cold. But they don't cancel school here for weather--just ask Janet!
Oh you gotta love non-Fargonian school systems! LOL! Whimps!
Wow - looks like you guys have as much snow as we do! Our kids loved the year we moved to Nashville because they had 10 snow days (about an inch each day - and it was always melted by noon). At the end of the school year, the governor "forgave" the snow days, and they didn't have to make a single one up!
Kathleen-
They're looking for "forgiveness" here as well, but it takes 6 snow days and then only three are forgiven. Only one more needed and we're "forgiven."
